About me
Hi, I’m Wouter, a game design student with a passion for sound and adaptive audio. I began in software development, but as I progressed through my studies, I found myself drawn towards game development.
Whilst I always loved making music I realized that this was a passion of mine that I would like to keep a hobby instead I discovered that I did have another love for Sound design games and film especially technical sound design.
With middleware like Wwise and FMOD I like to connect these things together and enhance the immersion of video games.
Projects
Learning WWise
I wanted to learn the basics of Audiokinetic WWise, a program to do adaptive and spatial audio in for Unity (and Unreal). so I ended up making basic tutorial videos for myself so I would improve my didactic skills and being able to explain it makes me understand it much better too. I definitely got the basics down and continuing to improve my skills in the program.
If you want to watch the tutorial videos you can watch them (which was also my learning process) here

Weaving Factory
This Unreal Engine 5 VR project was for a museum that wished to have an installation to show off the work conditions of the weaving factory workers in the 1930s
I was in charge of recreating the sound and ambience in the factory, the loudness and the obnoxiousness of the ambience without it being overwhelming for the users I achieved this with Wwise
